The face of the railroad-companies of Indonesia is
considered the better. It is based on new innovations with the aim of
advancing the field of railway transport of Indonesia especially. The
transformation of the PT. KAI are easy access to gets a train tickets; Internet
access for the station and the passangers on the train; free public telephone
for XL costumer; remedical tracked and locomotive; free toilet; and the launch
of the railway economy class with air conditioned facilities which greeted
positively by the community.
From
October 2011, in order to provide comfort on passenger, PT. KAI only sells
train tickets ordered by number of seats. This applies to all class of train,
both executives, business, and economics. All passengers ascertained get each number
seat and sit according to the numbered seat. No more passangers standing or even
siting on the floor.
That
provision does not apply to the local train that serves short distance like
KRDI, KRDE, KRD, and KRL. To prevent passengers without tickets, there will
still be enforced system of boarding, passangers with their tickets are allowed
to enter the platform up to 2 hours before TRAIN departure. Beside that, the simultaneous
examination by the employee of PT. KAI will be done in a more intensive. However,
there are some things that seem not help this progress.
This
I've experienced while using the services of Penataran economic train with Surabaya
destination. I’ve buyed the tickets at the Blitar railway station. I started
queuing at 06.00 in the morning. Yhis is what I loved from this small town. The
people will queued by themselves. Finally I got the ticket and departurre at
10.09 am.
In the
tickets that I have, inscribed the number of train and the number of seats in
the train. In my tickets written the 5th wagon and the number seats are 23E and
23D (I bought two tickets of economy class). Then, I’ll try to find the 5th
wagon and search the number seat according to the tickets. However, I still see
a middle-aged woman sitting on a seat that was supposed to be mine at that time.
I approached that woman and directly asking if I was able to occupy the seat,
because she was seat on the numbered seat according to my seat. That woman
reject it impolite. She said that she also can’t get her chair because of other
people sit down on her seat. She had a reason that her destination is near this
city, it is on Kepanjen, and I think it is still far from Blitar.
Finally,
I relented. That woman insisted to sit on the chair that supposed to be mine at
that time. I have to stood up till Ngebruk station before Kepanjen. This
is can be the one of obstacles. Passengers who are selfish and only thinking
about themself. It was useless with the numbering of seats if
the passengers are still selfish like that. The intention of PT. KAI to provide
comfort has not touched the people like that woman.
